Task Automation and Virtual Collaboration Tools, Algorithmic Tracking and Wearable Haptic Technologies, and Employee Engagement and Network Visual Analytics in Immersive Multisensory Virtual Spaces

The aim of this systematic review is to synthesize and analyze generative artificial intelligence and people analytics tools, holographic display devices, and multimodal behavioral analytics in immersive multisensory virtual spaces. A quantitative literature review of ProQuest, Scopus, and the Web of Science was carried out throughout May 2024, with search terms including “immersive multisensory virtual spaces” + “task automation and virtual collaboration tools,” “algorithmic tracking and wearable haptic technologies,” and “employee engagement and network visual analytics.” As research published in 2022 and 2023 was inspected, only 167 articles satisfied the eligibility criteria, and 30 mainly empirical sources were selected. Data visualization tools: Dimensions (bibliometric mapping) and VOSviewer (layout algorithms). Reporting quality assessment tool: PRISMA. Methodological quality assessment tools include: Abstrackr, CASP, DistillerSR, Litstream, MMAT, and PICO Portal.
