ABSTRACT. Well-being can be defined as that individual positive condition of almost full self-realization to be reached in the ages of life. To feel well is a sensation that can be felt in relation to one or more contexts: physical, moral, emotional, religious, social, and so on for the person’s all dimensions. But what can well-being mean? Balance between mind and motor activity, satisfaction of needs and self-realization, absence of diseases are all concepts included in the new way to conceive man’s health. Active health is a goal neither genetic nor forced from the outside but on the contrary it is intrinsic and can be educated; one of the operations that today it is necessary is to include a strong culture of movement, wellness and active health into our educative system. pp. 73–86

Keywords: active health; wellness; movement culture
