ABSTRACT. The role the BRIC countries play in the world economic arena is becoming increasingly important. Education is one factor that contributes to their economic growth. This study attempts to explore the growth of the BRIC’s educational system by comparing their educational policies and expenditures. While Russia and Brazil invest more in education than China and India in terms of the rate of educational expenditure to the total GDP, the economies of China and India are growing faster than those of Russia and Brazil. Several suggestions have been made to promote the economic development of all four. pp. 32–44
