ABSTRACT. Qualitativeness is not 'an entirely relative matter'. There are various clear objective distinctions to be made between qualitative and non-qualitative predicates, varying with how narrowly 'qualitative' is defined. In order to show that an object is green we do not have to show what the date is, whether or not the object is grue or bleen.
