Problematic Smartphone Use Severity: Behavioral Addiction, Psychiatric Symptoms, and Pathological Personality Traits
Joan Scott et al.ABSTRACT. The aim of this paper is to synthesize and analyze existing evidence on problematic smartphone use severity. Using and replicating data from ExactTarget, Insights West & iamota, MarketingCharts, Pew Research Center, and Screen Education, we performed analyses and made estimates regarding the relationship between behavioral addiction, psychiatric symptoms, and pathological personality traits. Data were analyzed using structural equation modeling.
