DERRIDA, HEIDEGGER, AND THE ONTOLOGY OF THE HUMAN BEING
CARMEN PETCUABSTRACT. Derrida argues that language as a medium and as a subject of philosophy constitutes a particular charged lows of deconstruction (Golumbia). Heidegger is far removed from concerning the self as a substance or a subject (George). Hegel believes that our natural instincts should be tempered and educated by reason, rather than modified (Hegel's procedure is uniquely able to capture our pre-scientific experience of nature).
