ABSTRACT. The purpose of this study was to empirically examine Internet of Things-based real-time production logistics, cyber-physical process monitoring systems, and industrial artificial intelligence in sustainable smart manufacturing. Building our argument by drawing on data collected from The Economist Intelligence Unit, EEF, IoT World Today, LNS Research, Management Events, McKinsey, Plex Systems, and Techconsult, we performed analyses and made estimates regarding smart Internet of Things systems. Descriptive statistics of compiled data from the completed surveys were calculated when appropriate.
