ABSTRACT. We are specifically interested in how previous research investigated the political nature of consumer choices in tourism, the formation of a brand in tourism family businesses, the development of a tourism destination brand, and the increased interest in heritage/cultural tourism. This paper begins to fill this gap by exploring sustainable development-oriented forms of tourism, the dynamics of tourism development, and the complex relations between volunteer work, tourism and development. pp. 244–249
