ECONOMIC ASPECTS INFLUENCING THE RISING COSTS OF HEALTH CARE IN THE UNITED STATES
GHEORGHE H. POPESCUABSTRACT. The main objective of this paper is to explore and describe improved efficiency in the delivery of medical care, the continuing rapid escalation of health care costs, and the lack of continuity of primary care for the uninsured. The results of the current study converge with prior research on the social context shaping health care in the U. S., the priority of profit over patient in the present reform of U. S. health care, and wasteful practices in health care delivery. pp. 47–52
