Abstract. The article reviews the existing research and literature on entrepreneurship educational policies in the MENA (Middle East and North Africa) region, focusing on nine of the 21 countries and providing a case study of Egypt. It concludes that while there is evidence of entrepreneurship education in the Region, most of it is extra-curricular, outside the formal education system, and not governed by over-arching policies that ensure the coherent sequential development of entrepreneurship education either within countries or across the Region. The implications for policy are considered, to get her with the role of the state. pp. 1–15
