Abstract. For more than a decade now the European Union (EU) has taken an interest in implementing a strategic framework for boosting entrepreneurship as a crucial element in socio-economic growth. As an EU member State, Spain has adopted different measures at the national and regional levels to foster an enterprising spirit in line with European directives. In this study we explore the latest status of policy and practice, the regulations and the entrepreneurship programs being implemented in the different Autonomous Communities that form Spain. Some principal conclusions are drawn and future lines of work suggested for improving entrepreneurship education in Spain. pp. 73–93
