Hymera juri: Quandoque bonus dormitat Homerus
Vlad Vieriu, Codrin MacoveiABSTRACT. In its century-old history the Church has often joined courses with the State, so that negotiating boundaries between them was hardly ever an easy job. Important aspects were sometimes neglected in order to contain ambitions and avoid trespassing. In this context, if one might think that succession in the Romanian Orthodox Church, for example, is free from such disputes, mention must be made that the right of succession of bishops and monks belongs to dioceses and monasteries even in the absence of a valid testament, which blatantly contradicts the civil rules in the matter.
