THE GENDER DIVISION OF LABOR IN PUBLIC SECTOR EMPLOYMENT
DOINA POPESCU LJUNGHOLMABSTRACT. This paper discusses the major trends in scholarship about the intricacy of gender models in organizations, the difficulty of accomplishing workplace gender equality, the gender complexities of public sector organizations, and gendered cultural prospects for emotional reactions. My analysis complements the growing literature on gender connections and processes in public sector workplaces, the obstacles to pay equity and fair employment chance for women and men, the gender patterns of public sector workplaces, and the gender settlements of public sector organizations. pp. 84–89
