THE ECONOMICS OF HEALTH CARE SYSTEM REFORM
ALIN IULIAN TUCMEANUABSTRACT. Research on challenges of improving the performance of health systems, operational efficiency in public resource allocation in health, and the potential trade-offs between health care reform objectives has yielded fairly consistent findings over the past decade. Applying new conceptual and methodological approaches, this study advances to the next level research on the impact of the health financing system on the use of services, weaknesses in equity and efficiency in public expenditure on health services, and the imperfections in the health care market. pp. 72–77
