ABSTRACT. The purpose of this study was to empirically examine networked, smart, and responsive devices in big data-driven manufacturing. Building our argument by drawing on data collected from CompTIA, KPMG, McKinsey, PAC, and PwC, we performed analyses and made estimates regarding challenges regarding smart factory initiatives. The structural equation modeling technique was used to test the research model.
