The purpose of this study is to examine worldwide economic structural tendencies that have deep consequences for the natural environment, the environmental undertakings of global economic entities and regimes, and the success of cross-industry alliances for the governance of international environmental matters. We are specifically interested in how previous research investigated private global regimes managing the environment–economy connection, processes of global environmental governance, and the emerging and expanding character of the environmental issues. pp. 72–78
