ABSTRACT. Real economic phenomena cannot be investigated insulated from other potential influences falling outside the theoretical domain. The growth rate of manufacturing firms and their volatility is negatively associated with their initial age and size. The new image of mathematics shaped an emergent mathematical economics. The firm's production plan is financed with funds borrowed from a financial intermediary. Microeconomic models are usually difficult to understand for people without appropriate training in the relevant mathematics.
