ABSTRACT. It is with great pleasure and pride that we present this inaugural issue in what is planned to be an ongoing series on Indigenous Knowledge. This is an opportunity not only to build a think tank for scholarship on indigenous knowledge and indigenous philosophies; it moreover provides indigenous scholars with an important and sympathetic forum for publishing in an international research journal. It will also provide indigenous scholars with opportunities to develop their skills as editors, as different indigenous guest editors take responsibility for each issue. pp. 11–14
