ABSTRACT. The purpose of this study was to empirically examine online dating behavior, casual relationships, and sexual encounters on geosocial networking mobile apps. Building our argument by drawing on data collected from Pew Research Center, Stanford University, and Statista, we performed analyses and made estimates regarding the experiences of U.S. users on dating applications or websites. The structural equation modeling technique was used to test the research model.
