ABSTRACT. We develop a conceptual framework based on a systematic and comprehensive literature review on sustainable smart city governance. Building our argument by drawing on data collected from Capgemini, Deloitte, ICMA, KPMG, and SCC, we performed analyses and made estimates regarding urban Internet of Things systems and interconnected sensor networks. The data for this research were gathered via an online survey questionnaire and were analyzed through structural equation modeling on a sample of 4,400 respondents.

Keywords: Internet of Things; interconnected sensor network; smart city; sustainable
