I seek to contribute to a wider understanding of contextual and cultural influences on the role of religion in shaping the meaning of the human, the constructive relationship between religion and secular human rights, the relationship of Christology to human rights, the involvement of God with human bodies, and the causal role played by religious beliefs. pp. 128–133
