ABSTRACT. This article reviews and advances existing literature concerning the relationship between medical big data, body sensor networks, and online patient engagement. Using and replicating data from Accenture and Zebra Technologies, I performed analyses and made estimates regarding the business drivers for offering wellness, prevention, and remote patient monitoring in Internet of Medical Things solutions. Data were analyzed using structural equation modeling.
