ABSTRACT. The purpose of this article is to gain a deeper understanding of the impacts of climate change on humans and ecosystems, the science of climate warming, the temperature changes necessary to produce catastrophic economic damages, and the role of the tail in economic analysis of climate change. Applying new conceptual and methodological approaches, this study advances to the next level research on the negative effects of global warming, the importance of the damage function in economic analysis, the economic effect of temperature change, and the deep structural uncertainties of climate change. pp. 44–49
